In 2017, Apocalyptic Beauty was born out of a love for color and defiant self-expression, and the belief that cosmetics should never be boring.

Since then, one obsession has become several. Coupled with a love of fragrance and irreverent humor, Scent Witch emerged. Then Phantom Fury burst forth because nail polish can be more than an accessory — it’s warpaint for your fingers! It can be bold, strange, haunting, and art in itself. Finally, Grimoires & Whatnot became the natural home for books, ephemera, and other assorted oddities I’d been creating over the years.

And that philosophy is this:

Makeup is modern warpaint; it transforms the wearer, bestowing strength, confidence, and fearlessness. Is it a mask? Of course, but what is wrong with that? Many warriors past wore masks into battle.
The person looking back at you from the mirror -- she is a modern-day barbarian. Her makeup isn’t about glamour; it’s about empowerment. Like a victorious warrior smearing her face in the blood of her kill -- she lifts her head to the heavens and cries, “See me! I am here!”
